Privacy Policy
To support our mission, please visit our DONATE page, where you will find various giving options tailored to your location. For our UK-based supporters, donations can be made via direct online bank transfer using the details provided. We also encourage you to complete our Gift Aid declaration (provided by us); this allows FRIS Charity UK to reclaim the tax on your contribution, boosting the value of your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you.
For our international supporters in the US, Canada, EU, Australia, and New Zealand, we offer secure giving via PayPal or Stripe. We are also currently developing a Sokin payment gateway specifically for donors in the Indian subcontinent and Middle East.
To process your donation and provide a receipt, we kindly ask for your contact details (Name, Address, Email, and Mobile/WhatsApp). Please be assured that your financial security is our priority: sensitive information, such as credit card numbers and expiry dates, is handled exclusively by our secure payment processors. Your card details are never shared with or stored by the charity under any circumstances.
Supporters whose contributions meet or exceed our standard membership fee are cordially invited to become Honorary Members of FRIS Charity UK. To mark this distinction, you will receive an official Membership Certificate signed by our Director of Communications. For your convenience, we will retain your contact information to provide a courtesy notification when your annual membership is approaching its renewal date.
To ensure the highest level of protection for your data, our website utilizes industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. This safeguard prevents the loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration of any information in our possession. We maintain a strict privacy policy: we do not—under any circumstances—sell, rent, loan, or trade your identifiable information with any third party.
When applying for funding through FRIS Charity UK—including postgraduate scholarships, research grants, or faculty research positions—or seeking support via the AMU Development Fund (ADF), you will be required to share comprehensive personal and academic information. This data is essential for the peer-review process and the formal evaluation of your application. By submitting your application, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred outside the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA) to facilitate international peer review. We will retain your records for five years from the date of application to ensure data integrity and facilitate future inquiries. Under data protection law, you maintain the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your data, as well as the right to object to its processing. For a full breakdown of how we collect, store, and protect your information, please consult our complete Privacy Policy, which is updated periodically to reflect current regulations.
We value our relationship with you and aim to keep you connected with the FRIS Charity UK family. We will use your contact information to share seasonal greetings for major cultural and religious festivals—including Holi, Diwali, and Eid-ul-Fitr—as well as to provide updates on our latest initiatives and newsletters. Occasionally, we may reach out to invite you to contribute your voice to our research magazine, FRIS Horizon, or to share opportunities for supporting our mission through fundraising appeals.
